The integration of the AI4PublicPolicy VPME with the EOSC marketplace

AI4PublicPolicy is working on the interoperability of the Virtualized Policy Management Environment (VPME) of the project with EOSC, with the main interest of facilitating access to the Cloud and HPC resources to enable the project’s AI tools. At the same time it is expected to integrate the VPME in the marketplace to make it available for wider communities inside the EOSC since the policy makers and public sector are also target audiences of the EOSC.

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Marketplace is a platform that enables different kinds of users, with different skills and interests to discover, access, use a broad spectrum of EOSC Resources. It offers not only advanced compute and data services from publicly-funded and commercial organisations, but it also allows researchers and institutions to focus on value creation and increase the excellence of research and European competitiveness.

From the supplier side, the EOSC Marketplace offers local, national, and international providers the opportunity to advertise their services and resources to a broader community.

From the demand side, the EOSC marketplace is free of charge and as accessible as possible to the scientific community. Services provided there are expected to be free of charge at the point of use, but service providers are free to define the pricing model for their services.

The AI4PublicPolicy project is now working on the interoperability of the Virtualized Policy Management Environment (VPME) with the EOSC with the main interest of facilitating access to the Cloud and HPC resources to enable the project’s AI tools. At the same time it is expected to integrate the VPME in the marketplace to make it available for wider communities inside the EOSC since the policy makers and public sector are also target audiences of the EOSC.

EGI Foundation, a AI4PublicPolicy partner but also key player in the EOSC development, will lead the integration of the VPME into the EOSC, supporting the onboarding of services and enhancing the collaboration and positioning of policy related projects inside the EOSC.
