First Co-Creation Workshop in Genova pilot
AI4PublicPolicy pilot partner, Comune di Genova (CDG), organised its first co-creation workshop in December using the methodologies of design thinking and participatory design to validate the user stories identified for the different use cases of the pilot and generate new ones.
APE Consulting, after a careful study of the project needs, developed the canvas and the toolkit tailored for the occasion in order to analyze and deepen the needed information necessary for the development of the second workshop and the subsequent creative part.
The first part of the cocreation workshop regarding Use Case n.2 “Social and Demographic Services” was facilitated by Fabio Bonini of APE Consulting and took place in Genoa at the Municipal offices of the “Matitone” building on Friday, 3 December 2021. The activities started at 9:00 am and ended approximately at 11:15 am.
The first part of the workshop started with a brief introduction about the agenda, the day goals and a description about the project, to give all the basic context information useful for the workshop. Then, the practical part of the analysis started, divided into 4 macro steps, in the form of a plenary discussion, where the field of action of the use case dedicated to social policies and particularly the creation of a social policy observatory was analysed. The focal point was carrying out a mapping of the stakeholders, the needs that the Use Case must respond to and the main users it concerns. The result was an analysis and validation of the fundamental aspects of the user stories and the generation of a third one.
The second part of the cocreation workshop regarding Use Case n.1 about the municipality’s “Registry Office” took place in Genoa at the Municipal offices in Corso Torino on Thursday, 23 December 2021. The activities started at 10:00 am and ended approximately at 12:00 am. The process was facilitated by Fabio Bonini and Filippo Maria Giorgi of APE Consulting.
The workshop started with a brief introduction about the agenda, the day goals and a description ofthe project, to give all the basic context information useful for the workshop. Subsequently, the practical part of the analysis started, divided into 4 macro steps, in the form of a plenary discussion. In the first phase of the analysis, the field of action of the use case dedicated to the Electoral Services was outlined. In particular, the attention was focused on the individuation and comparison of new polling stations and on the communication dynamics with the citizens on the novelties to introduce. Then the participants carried out a mapping of the stakeholders divided according to their characteristics, focusing on the stakeholders involved in the organization of the polling station and the resulting service. The analysis process of the Use Case led to the validation of all the fundamental aspects of the User Stories for this use case and generated a third one.
More information and details about the results of the workshop will be published soon on D2.9 “Plan and report on co-creation activities V2”.
